The North Coast of Barbados is often considered the most dramatically beautiful coast of the island with its rugged and picturesque landscape of hills, dramatic cliffs and breathtaking Atlantic ocean views. Home to three parishes, St. Lucy (true north), St. Peter (North West) and St. Andrew (North East), this side of the island is less developed and much quieter in comparison to the Western, Southern and Central parishes. St. Peter straddles part of the western Caribbean Sea and is home to several luxury developments and resorts such as Port Ferdinand and Port St. Charles marinas and Schooner Bay Condos. St. Lucy and St. Andrew are considerably more rural with St. Peter being home to a number of the island’s historical great houses such as Fustic House and Colleton Great House.
